Warm pelt is one of the animal drops in Monster Hunter World. You can only get it from one specific beast, but it’s used in a bunch of clothing items. It’s pretty useful early on, but you won’t be able to get it right away. This guide will help you by showing you Monster Hunter World warm pelt locations.
Where to find warm pelt in MHW?
The only monster we know of that drops warm pelts is the Kelbi. You’re in luck – they’re small, herbivorous and peaceful. They look like blue antelopes with white necks and bellies. You’ll find them wandering the Windspire Wastes and Coral Highlands in large numbers, so you should be able to stock up on pelts as soon as you reach the second map. They also drop raw meat and sometimes white liver, so you’ll end up with a lot of byproduct. If you want their horns, you’ll need to aim for the head and break them.
Most items that sound like body parts are obtained by hunting monsters – meat, pelts, and such. However, there are some that can be a bit misleading. For example, you get Ancient Bones from corpses, nodes on the map. They are exceptions, however – you should always look to the monsters first.
