Dragons’ Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available on PS4 and Xbox One in October

Capcom’s RPG has had quite a path since its inception on the previous generation of consoles in 2012. Always good enough, but never a hit, it has seen a Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen edition including all the DLCs in 2013, which also came to PC in 2016. This time around, the turn has come for PS4 and Xbox One to get their own version.

Boss fights are something that Dragon’s Dogma excels in.

Here is what Capcom says about the game itself:

Based in an epic fantasy setting, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen combines exhilarating and deep combat with the freedom to explore and interact in this rich and detailed world. Choose between nine different classes and embark on your own adventure along with three AI companions, known as Pawns. These allies fight independently, develop alongside your character, and can be shared or borrowed online in exchange for treasure, tips and more.

The version coming to PS4 and Xbox One includes all the content from Dark Arisen, including the Bitterblack Isle, as well as new high level weapons and armours, new enemies and quests. It might be an interesting title for those who have yet to play it, as well as those who have had their encounters with it. The PC version from 2016 did look a bit dated and this was hopefully paid attention to for the remaster.

As always, it is interesting to mention the MMORPG cousin, dubbed Dragon’s Dogma Online, available only in Japan, as it has an army of translators on Reddit who are working diligently in bringing the content to the western communities. There has been very little word of whether it might actually be officially brought to greater markets.

Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen will arrive to PS4 and Xbox One on October 3, 2017.
