How to Claim Free 5,000 V-Bucks in Fortnite, Zanca vs Epic Games Lawsuit

The Zanca vs Epic Games class action settlement states that all Fortnite and Rocket League players that have purchased a loot box in these games, known as “Loot Llama” in Fortnite and “Crate” in RL, between July 1, 2015, and February 25, 2021, are eligible to claim cash benefits or in-game virtual currency in the corresponding games.

On Thursday, July 21st 2022, ceratin Fortnite players started receiving free 5,000 V-Bucks in Fortnite. However, not everyone has received the message with an option to claim 5k V-Bucks. Understandably, if you didn’t receive these V-Bucks, you want to know how to claim them. Well, there are three conditions that you need to fulfil in order to get 5,000 V-Bucks as compensation in the Zanca vs Epic Games lawsuit. Below, we list them all:

  • Your Epic account needs to have at least one loot box (“Loot Llama”) opened during the above-stated period.
  • You must be a US citizen, as this is the class action settlement in the US.
  • You needed to submit a claim before April 26th, 2021.

Only if you meet all these requirements, your account will be qualified to receive free 5,000 V-Bucks as a part of the Zanca vs Epic settlement. Unfortunately, if you didn’t submit a claim prior to April 26th, 2021, then you were only eligible to automatically receive the 1,000 Fortnite V-Bucks or the 1,000 Rocket League Credits, which were already previously distributed.
