There’s another contender in the indie game publishing ring. Humble Bundle has started their own label, Presented by Humble Bundle. Since they are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to digital distribution of games, it should come as no surprise that they’ve ventured further into the business. As Humble Bundle publishing lead John Polson puts it:

Already astute at helping indies find an audience for their titles through our platform, adding our approachable publishing initiative was a no brainer.

Humble Bundle will show off five games at PAX West and Gamescom this year, all of different genres and gameplay concepts. A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer / collect-a-thon, like classic platform games from the nineties. It will launch in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. No Truce with the Furies will come out some time in 2017 on PC. It’s an isometric RPG with a strong focus on the narrative. Staxel is a sandbox farming game, set in a rich world for you to interact with. It’s set to come out for the PC in January 2018. Keyboard Sports – Saving QWERTY might just be the most innovative of the bunch, because it uses the entire keyboard as a controller.

If you want to give these games a try, and are going to Gamescom 2017, they’ll be available from August 23rd to August 26th at the Indie Arena Booth, in Hall 10.1 A020. If you’re going to PAX West this year, you’ll be able to check them out at Grand Hyatt on September 1st-2nd, but access will be limited.
