The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild Release Date Revealed

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is going to be released on March 3rd. It’s going to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch, although Wii U will be getting a port as well, on the same day. Link’s latest adventure is one of the strongest games the new console has in its lineup, and fans across the world are super excited at the mere thought of getting to play it.

The release date was announced during the Nintendo Switch live event, which took place yesterday. The console is going to be released on the same day, and there’s probably going to be a bundle that includes both the device and the game.

Nintendo have shown a brand new trailer for Breath of The Wild during the event, explaining the plot of the new game. The video also introduces a bunch of new characters, along with some old, familiar faces. Most importantly, the game looks stunning. Hyrule has never been so vivid and colorful, with so many beautiful environments. Even if you don’t care about the drama, you’ll definitely appreciate it for its looks.

The combat was shown only briefly, but it looks really enticing. The montage included scene of both fighting groups of smaller enemies, and confronting giant creatures by themselves. Puzzles were completely ommited, which is a curious decision. We did get to see a bunch of tools Link can use, like the glider, the magnet and the grappling hook. Calamity Ganon gets mentioned in the voiceover, but we don’t actually see him in the trailer. Which is probably for the best.

All in all, it’s breathtaking. It may not be worth getting a console for, especially if you already have a Wii U, but it looks like it’s going to be one hell of a game.
