The bots are especially important here, since the game has a depressingly small player base. It didn’t manage to take off the same way their previous brainchild did, so even the regulars can have a tough time finding people to play with. Thankfully, bots will now fill empty spaces on a server, moving aside when actual players appear. Here’s the full changelog:

Major Changes:
  • 2 Arena maps: The Pit and Old Arena
  • Bot assisted servers
    • Bots will auto-populate the server once a player spawns in
    • Bots leave/join as players leave/join to max out the player count
    • Bots don’t prevent players from selecting a class if a class limit is set on the server
    • Bots are removed at end of each match
  • 3 Abilities
    • Alchemancer Depth Charge: Release a series of explosions in front of you
    • Vypress Pincer – A Brutal melee attack that takes a long time to wind-up but delivers a crushing blow to a single enemy
    • Vigilist Surround Parry – Put up a barrier around you that stops all incoming attacks
  • Taurant Sword: a new sword + multiple skins
  • 10 new languages: French, Italian, Spanish, German, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Portuguese Brazilian (joining US English and Russian)
  • Balance Updates:
    • Reduced Taurant Health
    • Reduced Vigilist melee damage
  • High level gradients: 2 new colour gradients (Abyssal and Radiant) unlocking at ranks 70 and 80
  • Duplicate items are no longer being granted
  • Duplicate items are no longer shown in inventory
  • Indicators for new items on customization screen
  • Lore video on game launch (yes, it’s skippable)
  • 3D character in class selection screen
  • Score-based autobalance implemented
Bug Fixes
  • Various crash fixes for servers and clients
  • Removed some duplicate items in the config screen
  • Fixed sorting function on server browser
  • Fixed item icons & thumbnails for customization menus and item drops
  • Fixed Steam avatars not showing
  • Vigilist Spear now shows correct icon in Killfeed
  • Fixed autobalancer from preventing new players from joining while autobalance was in progress
