Outlast 2 PC specifications are out. Spoiler alert: not that demanding

Outlast 2 is due to release next week and it’s high time for the obligatory PC Specs, as it will be out on Steam as well. Red Barrel’s sequel to one of the most influential horror games of 2013 is set to launch on April 25 worldwide, even in Australia. If your memory spans as far past as last month, you will remember that it was almost left unclassified (read: cannot be sold) by the Australian Board.

Outlast 2 should feature more redneck horror tropes than you can shake a stick at.

Luckily, the Board revised their decisions after Red Barrel’s claim that the video that caused them to not want to give it classification was said to have been a “mistake”, a leftover from the production period that should not be a part of the game. Which, on the other hand, begged the question of whether this was a case of self-censorship. I guess this will be a story for some other time, depending on the success of Outlast 2.

The specs are as follows:

    Minimum:
  • OS: Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10, 64-bits
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-530
  • Memory: 4GB RAM
  • GPU: 1GB VRAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 / ATI Radeon HD 4870
  • DirectX: Version 10
  • Storage: 30 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
  • Additional Notes: Targeting 720p @ 30fps

    Recommended:
  • OS: Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10, 64-bits
  • CPU: Intel Core i5
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • GPU: 1.5GB VRAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 / ATI Radeon HD 7850
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 30 GB available space

Outlast 2 will be available in two editions. The first one will be the new game itself, while the second one will include the previous game, as well as its DLC, The Whistleblower. The title of this edition will be Trinity. The game will be out on April 25, as we said, for PS4, Xbox One and PC, as you can see above.
