Sniper Elite 4 is a third person shooter set in World War 2. It’s a singleplayer game first, but it does allow you to play with others as well. The burning question on everybody’s lips is whether there will be Sniper Elite 4 split screen co-op. The previous games allowed it, but the developers are pretty quiet when it comes to this.
Sniper Elite 4 Local Co-op
Many players are expecting to be able to play through SE4 with a friend, using split screen. From what we’ve seen, we think there will be no split screen in Sniper Elite 4. The developers have been awfully quiet when it comes to this feature. Here’s what they say about co-op on their official site:
Play the entire campaign online with another player or jump into dedicated co-operative game modes for up to 4 players.
We know that online co-op will be supported, but there’s no mention of local / split screen. The mention of “dedicated co-operative game modes” offers some hope, but you shouldn’t hold your breath. There’s also no local co-op icon on the game’s Steam page. Most games that do sport this feature tend to have the appropriate icon on the store page.
With all this in mind, it would be safe to assume there will be no split screen support. In case that’s a deal breaker for you, you should wait until the game is live, so you can check some reviews and ask around before you buy. The embargo has already been lifted, so you can already find some reviews and opinions about the game out there.
Sniper Elite is going to be released on February 14th, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. One thing we do know for certain is that it’s going to let you shoot Hitler in the testicles, again.
