According to a UK retail gaming sales chart, Grand Theft Auto 5 is the best selling retail game this week, in front of many newer competitors, such as Nioh and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Rockstar obviously did a great job with GTA 5, since the game was first released all the way back in 2013, on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. In 2014 it came out on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and finally, in 2015, they released a PC version.
You can check out the UK gaming charts at GFK Chart-Track HERE. Just below Grand Theft Auto 5 are Nioh, RE7, Fifa 17 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Grand theft auto definitely set some amazing gaming standards, that will hardly be surpassed in the near future. The only competitor can be the next Grand Theft Auto game, or possibly the next Red Dead Redemption, which is also being made by Rockstar.
Grand Theft Auto has a huge open world map, with different environments for us to explore, and an amazing single player story. Michael, Trevor and Franklin became very popular and iconic characters in the GTA franchise, providing us with some breath-taking action and narrative. All of this was supplemented with a multiplayer mode, with a maximum of 30 players at the same time, roaming the streets of Los Santos, doing various activities.
Constant content updates make the game fresh and exciting even now. Players even have the possibility to create their own custom maps, for all available multiplayer game modes. Users have created some amazing maps with interesting concepts, which are still being played today.
If you are one of the few that didn’t have the chance to play this masterpiece, you should definitely give it a go. It’s one of the best games ever made, and it is not a surprise that it tops the UK retail charts long after the initial release.
