Telltale Games has released their Summer 2017 Update video, and boy, it’s a doozy. They’ve announced new seasons of three of their hard-hitting franchises. Fans can look forward to a new season of Batman, The Walking Dead, and The Wolf Among Us. The latter two will come out in 2018, while the first episode Batman: The Enemy Within will launch on August 8th.
Fans of Telltale Games have a lot to look forward to. Three of the most successful games are getting new seasons: The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Batman: The Telltale Series. The announcements came in the Summer 2017 Update video. If what we can see there is any indication, all three stories will be very much worth the patience. We won’t go into any spoilers, so that your experience can stay fresh.
To start off, the new season of Batman, titled The Enemy Within, will continue where the previous season left off. It will continue building on the foundations the first game set, furthering the story of both Bruce Wayne and Batman. Many villains that were introduced in the first season will come back, including John Doe, aka The Joker. The second season will also introduce a new villain from Batman’s rouge gallery. The first episode of The Enemy Within comes out on August 8th, 2017.
Next up is The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The story will continue following fan-favorite Clementine, as she attempts to find AJ. It will be a journey where Clem discovers “who she wants to be, who she wants to be with, and how she wants to be.” Of course, these decisions will be all up to you. The Final Season launches in 2018.
Finally, there’s The Wolf Among Us. The preview for that starts with the cast and developers reading tweets demanding a second season. In fact, one fan even tweeted at them every day. Well, the prayers have been answered. In 2018, fans will once again be in the skin of Bigby Wolf, making their way through the world of fairy tales turned noir.
