Unlike most other Pokemon which can be found in several locations, the elusive Carnivine is exclusive to just one place in the entire game. That location is called the Great Marsh. It can be found inside Pastoria City. However, that’s not all there is to catching Carnivine. Another thing that you have to do before you can encounter it is to use the binoculars which are upstairs in the Great Marsh entrance building. So, go there and look through the binoculars.

If you are lucky, you will be able to spot Carnivine through these. If you do not see it right away, do not be discouraged, since, like most other things in Pokemon BDSP, this all depends on chance. You have a 10% chance of seeing a Carnivine, so repeat this process until you have spotted it.
