One of the best things about Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (or Pokemon BDSP for short) is just how many things you will be able to do in the game. Practically all of the items and systems in the game are centered around your base task – getting more Pokemon. The Digger Drill is one such item. Using it allows you to create places where you can set up statues of Pokemon. This, in turn, increases the chances of the Pokemon depicted in the placed statue spawning in the Grand Underground. How To Get Digger Drill in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Once you get to Eterna City, seek out the Underground Man to talk to him. He lives in the house next to the Pokemon Center there. He will give you the Explorer’s Kit, which you need to enter the Grand Underground. Go there and explore. Once you return to the Underground Man, he will task you with finding some treasure in the Grand Underground. All you need to do is go there and unearth one gem to bring back to him. Look for a yellow glint in the walls and then interact with that place to play the mining minigame and dig it up.

The next time you talk with the Underground Man, he will explain how to make Secret Bases, and also give you a Digger Drill. You can now use this Digger Drill to dig up walls in the Grand Underground to place your Secret Bases there. To get more Digger Drills, you will need to locate the Hikers running around the Grand Underground. Once you’ve encountered them, select the “Get Goods” dialogue option. You can trade 8 Blue Spheres for one Digger Drill. In order to obtain the necessary Blue Spheres, you will have to mine for them until you have enough of these.
