Pokemon GO Anniversary Event 2022 Release Date & Time

When Does Pokemon GO Anniversary Event 2022 Start

The Pokemon GO 2022 Anniversary Event will start at the same local time across all servers, the release date and time is Wednesday, July 6th at 10 AM local time. It’s going to end on Tuesday, July 12th at 8 PM local time. So, just under a week, really. The event seems to put Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard somewhat in the center, but they’re not the only “stars.”

So, first off, three Pokemon are going to make their debuts in the game. These are Party Hat Charmeleon, Party Hat Charizard, and Cake Costume Pikachu, all of which can be shiny. Party Hat Charmander will also appear in wild encounters, along with a laundry list of other Pokemon. You can see the full list in the official event announcement; it includes the likes of Gabite, Clauncher, Helioptile, and many others.

When the 2022 Pokemon GO Anniversary Event release date and time comes around, specific Pokemon will start appearing in Raids. In one-star Raids, you’ll see Cake Costume Pikachu and Dratini. Party Hat Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Metagross and Tyranitar will be in three-star raids, and Zapdos will be in five-star raids. Last, but not least, expect to meet Mega Charizard X (July 6th-7th) and Mega Charizard Y (July 7th-12th) in Mega Raids.

You will also see a plethora of cool Pokemon in Field Research task encounters; again, check out the link above to see a full list of them. As for cosmetics, you’ll be able to buy a white suit and cake hat in the in-game store for your avatar. Lastly, event-themed stickers will be obtainable via spinning PokeStops, opening Gifts and the in-game shop.
