A brand-new season of Pokemon GO is finally here. Called “Season of Light”, this latest season comes with all sorts of goodies such as bonuses and increased spawns for certain Pokemon. And, naturally, new Cosmic Companion Special Research as well. Pokemon GO A Cosmic Companion Special Research Tasks & Rewards

First things first, the Cosmic Special Research is scheduled to begin this Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at 10 AM your local time, and end on Thursday, December 1st, 2022, at 9:59 AM your local time. It is divided into three parts, the first of which is already available. The second part is going to unlock on October 5th, and the third on November 23rd. Now, let’s see the Research tasks themselves and the rewards you can get when you complete them, starting with Step #1:

• Catch 15 Pokemon. Reward: Razz Berry ×5.
• Make 10 Curveball Throws. Reward: a Staryu encounter.
• Catch 15 Psychic-type Pokemon. Reward: Pinap Berry ×5.
• Rewards for completing all of these: x500 Stardust, x1,000 XP, and a Cosmog encounter.

Step #2:

• Give your buddy 3 treats. Reward: a Woobat encounter.
• Earn x10 Candies walking with your buddy. Reward: a Staryu encounter.
• Catch x15 Psychic-type Pokemon. Reward: a Munna encounter.
• Rewards for completing all of these: x500 Stardust, x2,000 XP, and a Poffin encounter.

Step #3:

• Earn x15 hearts with your buddy. Reward: a Ralts encounter.
• Send x10 Gifts to your friends. Reward: a Staryu encounter.
• Catch x20 different species of Pokemon. Reward: x25 Poke Balls.
• Rewards for completing all of these: x1,000 Stardust, x3,000 XP, and x5 Pinap berries.

When you complete all three steps, you will earn: x25 Cosmog Candies, x3,000 XP, and x1,000 Stardust.
