How to Evolve Grubbin into Charjabug & Vikavolt in Pokemon GO

To evolve Grubbin into Charjabug and Vikavolt in Pokemon GO, you have to go through two steps of evolution. The first one is simple enough. All you have to do is give your Grubbin twenty-five Candies, and it will turn into Charjabug. However, the second step is a bit trickier. For one, you will have to gather a full hundred Grubbin Candies, which is going to be a bit of a drag to begin with. On top of that, though, you also have to be near an active Magnetic Lure Module for the evolution to actually take place. You don’t have to be one to place the module on a PokeStop; you can use someone else’s if you come across it. For more info on that, check out our How to Get Magnetic Lure guide.

So, that’s how the Grubbin evolution works in Pokemon GO, and how to evolve it into Charjabug and Vikavolt. All these Pokemon have made their debut in the game as a part of the Bug Out 2022 event. During this event, Grubbin will be appearing in both wild encounters and as a reward for certain Field Research tasks. And before you ask, no Grubbin can sadly not be shiny at time of writing. Perhaps that will change in the future, but for know, the regular version is all we have. Also, while Grubbin and Charjabug are fine enough on their own, Vikavolt seems like it’s going to be a pretty powerful Bug/Electric combo. Worth the hassle, in other words.
