Pokemon GO Guzzlord Counters & Weakness

We will begin this guide by discussing the best counters for Guzzlord in Pokemon GO and its weakness, and then we’ll get into its moveset. Now, the very tricky part about Guzzlord is that it has only one weakness, and that’s Fairy attacks, which deal 160% damage. This is a problem, because there aren’t many full-Fairy Pokemon that do well in Raid battles. That’s why you’ll find some mixed-types in the list below. Oh, and forget about using Fighting and Poison attacks (63% damage). That goes double for Psychic and Normal attacks (a paltry 39% damage).

  • Gardevior (Shadow or regular) with Charm and Dazzling Gleam
  • Granbull (Shadow or regular) with Charm and Play Rough
  • Zacian (Hero or regular) with Snarl and Play Rough
  • Togekiss with Charm and Dazzling Gleam
  • Primarina with Charm and Moonblast
  • Sylveon with Charm and Dazzling Gleam
  • Xurkitree with Thunder Shock and Dazzling Gleam
  • Galarian Rapidash with Fairy Wind and Play Rough
  • Tapu Koko with Volt Switch and Dazzling Gleam
  • Tapu Bulu with Bullet Seed and Dazzling Gleam

Pokemon GO Guzzlord Best Moveset

Now that we know the best counters for Guzzlord in Pokemon GO and its weakness, let’s dive into its moveset. There’s a lot of interesting combinations to play around with. The two possible Quick Attacks are Dragon Tail (Dragon) and Snarl (Dark). As for Charged moves, they include Dragon Claw (Dragon), Brutal Swing (Dark), Crunch (Dark) and Sludge Bomb (Poison). Now, what build is the best one to go with? In my humble opinion, it’s probably the combo of Snarl and Brutal Swing. That’s the best ratio of damage in both attacking and defending. You can substitute Snarl with Dragon Claw, if you want to.
