Pokemon GO Mantine Spotlight Hour

The Mantine Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO will take place on Tuesday, June 14th, between 6 PM local server time and 7 PM local server time. During the event, Mantine will spawn more often in the wild, and that includes shiny Mantine (more on that in the next section). On top of that, we have the event bonus; this time around, it’s going to be double Transfer Candy. That means that you’ll get twice the Candy whenever you transfer a Pokemon to Professor Willow. It’s not the most exciting of bonuses, but it will let you grind up quite a lot of Mantine Candy if you’re efficient enough.

Can Mantine Be Shiny?

Yes, Mantine can be shiny in Pokemon GO, so the Spotlight Hour event is going to be a great opportunity to get one or more of them. The difference between a shiny and regular Mantine is that the former is a much more vivid blue. Even its bottom side is light blue instead of grayish-white. So, most of you should be able to see the difference pretty clearly. It’s not like some other Pokemon whose shiny variations are very difficult to distinguish. With that said, you should probably catch as many Mantine of any sort that you come across and keep just a handful that you want. That way, you’ll have plenty of trading fodder to make the most of the event’s Candy bonus.
