Pokemon GO Meditite Spotlight Hour

The Meditite Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO is going to take place on Tuesday, July 26th from 6 PM to 7 PM local server time. As is always the case, but hey, any Spotlight Hour might be somebody’s first. Naturally, there’s also going to be an event bonus, and in this one, it’s going to be double Evolution XP. In case you’re not sure what that means, you’ll get twice the XP when you evolve a Pokemon during the event. Now, the garlic-like Fighting/Psychic Pokemon is not the most… useful, all things considered, but hey, it is what it is. Might as well make the most of it, which brings me to our next point.

Can Meditite Be Shiny?

Yes, Meditite can be shiny in Pokemon GO, so keep your eyes peeled for them during the July 2022 Spotlight Hour. You can tell a shiny Meditite apart from the regular version fairly easily – the latter is blue, the former is red (and event the head, hands and feet are slightly pink instead of white). Either way, if you’re planning on participating in the mini-event, you should just vacuum every single Meditite you come across. You know, just so that you can evolve them into Medicham as many times as possible and make the most of that double Evolution XP bonus. What you’re gonna do with all those Medichams afterwards is a completely different problem, since they’re not really useful for much. All in all, a fairly disappointing month of Spotlight Hours.
