Can Galarian Slowpoke be Shiny in Pokemon GO

No, Galarian Slowpoke can’t be shiny in Pokemon GO at time of writing, but that is going to change pretty soon. On Saturday, March 18th, 2023, the Slowpoke Community Day is going to introduce the special version of this particular Pokemon. The event is going to last from 2 PM to 5 PM, but I think it’s safe to assume that the shiny variant of the Galarian Slowpoke will remain in the game for good. Naturally, the Community Day will give you really good odds of catching one, so you should definitely participate if you can. Spotting a shiny Galarian Slowpoke shouldn’t be that big of a problem, because it’s entire body is yellow instead of the usual bubblegum pink.

So, that’s the scoop on the shiny Galarian Slowpoke in Pokemon GO in 2023. Of course, there’s a lot more to look forward to in the upcoming Community Day. You can get all the details in the official announcement post. If you evolve a Galarian or regular Slowpoke during the event or up to five hours afterwards, the resulting Pokemon will know the Surf Charged Attack. It can be any evolution: Slowbro, Galarian Slowbro, Slowking, or Galarian Slowking. One important thing to note is that you’ll need to catch thirty Psychic types while adventuring with your Galarian Slowpoke in order to evolve it during the event (and up to 10 PM on the day). Normally, it’d be thirty Poison types, so keep that in mind.
