Spotlight Hour Pokemon Go Skwovet – August 24

This week’s Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour, taking place on August 24th, revolves around Skwovet. The adorable squirrel-like Pokemon was added to the game during the Ultra Unlock Part 3 Sword and Shield event back in the day. The Spotlight hour will happen from 6PM to 7 PM local time. During the event, Skwovet will appear in the wild more frequently than normal. On top of that, you’ll get double Transfer Candy. In other words, as is kinda par for the course with these happenings, just catch as many Skwovet as you can, mill those that you don’t want, and ask questions later.

Now, one thing to mention is that the Spotlight Hour is that it gives you a better chance at capturing a Shiny version of the featured monster. However, the issue is that Niantic hasn’t yet added a Shiny version of Skwovet to Pokemon Go yet. Sure, you should keep an eye out just in case they put a fancy Skwovet in at the last minute, but I doubt it. I think the August 24th Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour will have to go without a Shiny. Still, that doesn’t mean that you can’t make the most of it.

Speaking of, you should always do some preparations before a Spotlight Hour. Make sure to stock up on Poke Balls and Berries to make the catching process easier and/or get more Candies. Also, you might want to have a couple of Incense to attract more Skwovet. On top of that, make room in your storage box for all the extra Pokemon that’ll have to fit in there. Good hunting!
