When you trade Meltan with a friend this way, it treats it as a Legendary instead of a Mythical. That means that the Stardust cost is astronomical. If you want to make this exchange with a Best Friend, aka the highest tier of friend the game has, it’ll still cost forty thousand Stardust if they don’t have a Meltan already.
