The Lockpick in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an important tool. You need it to open all of the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Locked Chests. The game won’t just hand you the lockpick, you have to purchase it from a very specific vendor. If that wasn’t enough, the lockpick vendor in the new Tomb Raider is locked behind a string of side missions, that you can only get in a specific area. Since this is all so convoluted, here’s our guide on Shadow of the Tomb Radier Lockpick location, and where to find and how to unlock the lockpick vendor.
Where to Find Lockpick in Shadow of the Tomb Raider & open Conquistador Chests?
The lockpick in Shadow of the Tomb Raider can be found at a vendor in the Hidden City. However, you first have to unlock said vendor first, because they only appear after you complete a string of side missions. Or rather, a string of tasks in a side mission. Now, the Hidden City is a location that the story missions are going to take you to. So, there’s really no way you can miss the location itself.
Now, on to the side mission that grants you the lockpick in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The one you need is called Dice with the Dead, a creative name if ever there was one. It should be the only real side mission you can take, so you’re set there, as well. The first step is Find Takiy’s Dice, so that’s another way to know you’re on the right path. After completing the quest, you’ll then get the further step: Seek out the Outcasts.
There is a total of five outcasts for you to find. After you manage to suss out four of them, the fifth Outcast will unlock, and she is the vendor that sells the Lockpick. Luckily, she will stay as a vendor even after you’ve managed to complete the side mission, but she won’t have any marker, so you’ll have to memorize her location (she’s on the east end of the bridge, slightly south of the end of the bridge). Either way, once you unlock the merchant, all that’s left is to spend 2800 Gold Pieces on the Locpick, and now you can open all of those locked chests in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
