Lightsaber color crystals are used to change the color of your lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The change is only cosmetic – it does not affect the functionality of your weapon. There are eight colors to choose from – blue, green, orange, yellow, cyan, purple, magenta and indigo. Some of them are available from the beginning, while others you have to collect in the world. This guide is going to show you all Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order lightsaber crystal colors locations, so you can customize your weapon to your liking.
There are two achievements related to crafting and customizing a lightsaber. For A More Civilized Age is unlocked when you craft your own lightsaber, while Sabersmith unlocks when you fully customize one. Both trophies are bronze on Playstation.
Where to find lightsaber colors?
The blue and green colors are available from the start. You’ll be able to switch between them at any workbench. The orange crystal is only available as a preorder bonus, so if you haven’t bought the game before release, you can forget about it.
As for the other five colors (cyan, indigo, magenta, yellow and purple), you’ll have to find lightsaber crystals to unlock them. These kyber crystals are all unlocked automatically through the story – you can’t miss them. You’ll unlock them all at once, when you delve into the Crystal Caves beneath the Jedi Temple on Ilum. When you complete the mission, the game will let you choose a color, but all the others will become available once you’re back on the ship.
How to unlock dual wielding?
There is no actual, proper dual wielding in the game, like the one you’ve seen where jedi use two short lightsabers, one in each hand. What you can get is the split saber ability, which allows you to split Cal’s double-bladed lightsaber for a special attack. It’ll go back to normal once the attack is over, though. The ability is unlocked at the same time as the kyber crystals.
How to get double-bladed lightsaber?
The regular way to get the double-bladed lightsaber is during a mission on Kashyyyk. You’ll find it while climbing the Origin Tree, right after you ride the dopey giant bird and arrive at Chieftain’s Canopy. Interact with the workbench found right after the flight, and Cal will repair his rusty old saber, making it double-bladed.
But you can get it much earlier if you’re willing to go off the beaten path. As soon as you unlock Dathomir, go there. Head to Brother’s Bastion, and follow the path until you meet the Wandered. Turn around and drop down from his tower, and follow the scaffolding into the workshop. Use the workbench and you’ll get the double-bladed lightsaber.
How to change lightsaber color?
In order to change the color of your lightsaber, you’ll have to customize it. You can only do this at designated workbenches. This shouldn’t be too much of an issue, as you can find one on-board your spaceship Mantis. This means you don’t have to look around for one every time you want to customize – just head back to the ship and do your thing. There are lightsaber customization workbenches on each of the planets though.
