The Surge Free Demo Next Week on PC, PS4 & Xbox One

The Surge will be offering a free demo next week, across all three platforms that the game is available on: PS4, PC and Xbox One. The developers announced the demo on The Surge official Twitter. That’s all we know for now; there has been no further information. We don’t know the exact date when the demo will launch, how much of the game you’ll be able to play, nor which part of the game it will cover. We will keep you posted as more info comes in.

The developers also made a list of key features that The Surge has to offer, and you can check it out below (via DualShockers).

  • Tight, visceral hardcore action RPG combat
  • Unique targeting, dismemberment and level up systems
  • Explore a dystopian world full of mystery
  • Battle an array of huge, fearsome bosses
  • Loot, craft, and upgrade new weapons and armors

If you don’t know what The Surge is, we’ll give you a quick rundown. The Surge is a sci-fi Souls-like action-adventure RPG, and isn’t that a lot of hyphens. It was developed by Deck13 Interactive, of Lords of the Fallen fame. The game is set in a bleak future, where all the natural resources have been depleted. Your exosuit is at the very core of the gameplay, since you can modify and upgrade it with different modules. If this sounds like it could be right up your alley, but you’re not sure you’d want to buy it, then be sure to check out the demo next week.
