Climbing gear is a tool in Temtem. Like the surfboard, it allows you to access areas that were previously inaccessible. When you get it, you will unlock the ability to scale walls and cliffs, but only at places where you’re supposed to. You may have seen such places while exploring Deniz, but no sign of the equipment that would allow you to go past them. If you’re wondering where it might be, this guide is going to show you how to get climbing gear in Temtem.

Where to find climbing gear in Temtem?

The first time we saw a need for climbing gear was when we met the two mountain climbers – an expert and a novice – standing in front of a wall covered in stones that looked like footholds. The more experienced climber mentioned the need for special gear if we wanted to climb ourselves, and we left.

We’ve now spent quite a while moping around, sniffing out this and that, and we still haven’t found the climbing gear. The last official info on it is from half a year ago, when a member of the dev team confirmed it was still on the to-do list. We can’t be sure how much has changed since then, but we’re pretty certain that climbing gear isn’t in the game yet.

As far as we know, it’s supposed to be located on one of the islands that isn’t available in the early access version of the game. In other words, we’ll have to wait some more before we get our hands onto climbing gear and start scaling those walls, cliffs and other preposterously vertical surfaces.
