Valheim Bronze – How to Make Bronze

How to get bronze in Valheim?

You can only get bronze once you reach the forest. The first thing you need is a smelter. To make one, you’ll need some stone and surtling cores. You can get the latter from the burial ground dungeons in the forest. Once you’ve make a smelter, it’s time to get some ores – you need tin and copper.

An antler pickaxe is required for this – you can craft it from the parts obtained from the deer boss. Copper deposits are large, brownish green rocks found around the woods, while tin is a small rock with a black shining streak, usually found near water.

Once you’ve got both, get some coal and smelt them into ingots. The first time you smelt both ingots, you’ll unlock the bronze ingot recipe. Go to the forge and use two copper bars and one tin bar to craft a bronze ingot.

Once you’ve got that precious first bronze ingot in your medieval pocket, you will unlock a whole slew of new recipes – bronze plate armor pieces, bronze arrowheads, nails, as well as various weapons and tools. They’re all much better than what you’ve been using up to this point, so you’ll probably want to keep mining copper and tin until you’re sick of it – and then a bit more for good measure.
