The Hylian armor set is made up of traditional Hylian clothing. It consists of the Hylian Tunic, Hylian Trousers, and the Hylian Hood. If you have seen the trailer where Link wears this iconic outfit, you have no doubt noticed that he wore it with the hood down. But then, when you got the Hylian Hood in the game, there was no option to remove the hood. So how to put the hood down? Is this even possible? Luckily, you can indeed put the Hylian Hood down in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and we are going to show you how.
How to Get Hylian Hood Down Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
This requires that you go through several side adventures. At the end of them, you will unlock the option to put the hood down and back up again by talking to a specific NPC. So, to begin, the first step is to actually buy the Hylian Hood itself. You can do this by purchasing it at Lookout Landing from the Armor Shop for 70 Rupees. After this, the next step is to do the “Team Cece or Team Reede?” side adventure. This is then followed by “Cece’s Secret“, “Reede’s Secret“, “A New Signature Food“, and finally – “The Mayoral Election“.
Get ready to spend a long time going back and forth doing these (honestly, not so riveting) side quests. At the end of this quest chain, speak to Cece again in Hateno Village while you have the Hylian Hood equipped. She is going to offer to modify it so that your hood is now down. If you agree to this, she will immediately do this for you for free. Don’t worry, this isn’t a permanent choice, as you can go back to Cece to have her put it up again (or down) if you change your mind as many times as you like.
