Kill or spare Gergis in the Last Magi quest is a choice you’ll have to complete in Episode Bloodlines of Legacy of the First Blade DLC. The choice will determine whether you kill Gergis right at that spot, or let him live to see another day. It’s a major roleplaying decision. What to Choose with Gergis the Herald in AC Odyssey Last Magi Quest – Kill or Spare?
What you choose in the Last Magi quest, regarding the fate of Gergis, seems to be entirely connected to how you want to roleplay your Kassandra or Alexios. Basically here’s what happens in each situation. ONE LAST SPOILER ALERT: turn back if you want to go into the new episode blind. So, if you opt to kill Gergis (You die now), you’ll do battle right there and then. If you pick “Just go,” you will indeed let Gergis go, and that’ll conclude the quest. Gergis makes a comment about how the next time you see each other will be the last.
And, wouldn’t you know it, that’s exactly the case. As you progress further through the story missions, you’ll cross paths with Gergis again. After some banter between you two, you’ll do battle; this time, though, he’ll also have a few goons on his side. It’ll play out more or less exactly like all the other boss fights in the game. I guess it might have a little more emotional gravitas if you show him mercy, and then still have to kill him. But really, whether you choose to kill Gergis outright or later seems to be completely irrelevant. I mean, it’s Assassin’s Creed, what did you expect?
