Before we get to explaining why you can’t buy the Type-66 Cthulhu in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and what to do if you don’t have enough Street Cred, we have to talk about the side job called The Beast in Me. You unlock access to this mission after you finish the main quest called Double Life. To begin The Beast in Me, head to Claire’s garage in Arroyo during the day (or in the Afterlife at night). Agree to help her out. Now you’ll have to participate in and win several races in a row; one in the city center, one in the desert, and one Santo Domingo. Feel free to use her own rig, The Beast, because it’s a really balanced vehicle. Keep in mind that you’ll have to win each race before proceeding, so feel free to save before each one and try again if you fail.

We’re almost at the part where you can’t buy the Cthulhu in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and the whole Street Cred thing. After the Santo Domingo race, when talking to Claire, agree to help her but try to talk her out of killing Sampson. Then, during the big race, keep an eye on him. At one point, he will pull off due to damage, so go after him. After the whole kerfuffle is over, do your best to talk Claire down and spare Sampson’s life. If you’re successful, you’ll get both Claire’s Beast and Sampson’s Cthulhu. If not, exhaust all dialogue with Claire and wait about 24 in-game hours or speed time up. At that point, you should get the message from Muamar Reyes that the Cthulhu is available for purchase. So, yeah; regardless of your Street Cred, you won’t be able to buy the car until you finish Claire’s quest.
