How to Get Hard Wired, True Patriot, Ongoing Directive Gear Sets in Division 2?

To get the new Division 2 gear sets, aka True patriot, Ongoing Directive, and / or Hard Wired, you’re gonna have to collect them piece by piece. As far as we can tell, the different gear set pieces drop from completing the Tidal Basin Stronghold, as well as the handful of the new Invaded Missions that have been added in the Tidal Basin update. In case you’re having trouble figuring out how to access the new stronghold, check out our Division 2 Tidal Basin Stronghold – How to Start guide. And, while you’re at it, you might get some use from our Division 2 Gatehouse Facility Biology Lab Secret Room Key Location guide.

So, yeah, that’s all there is to it, seems to be. You’ll have to keep grinding Tidal Basin and the Invaded missions and see what you get. The more pieces of a set you get, the more cool effects you unlock. If you notice some of the pieces of the three new Division 2 gear sets dropping from other sources, let us know in the comments, and we’ll be sure to update the guide with your info. All three of the gear sets seem like they’re going to come in very handy in the Dark Hour raid when it launches on April 25th.

New Division 2 Gear Set Special Abilities – What Do True Patriot, Hard Wired, Ongoing Directive Do?

First off, Ongoing Directive. Two out of six pieces unlocks 20% to Weapon Handling, three gets you 25% Burn Damage, and four adds 25% Bleed Damage. Now for the sweet stuff. Five pieces grants Emergency Requisition. Every 30 seconds, combat resources (ammo, grenades, armor kits) within 40 meters are automatically collected. The full set bonus is The Right Tool. This ability gives you special ammo (incendiary, shock, explosive) upon killing an enemy with one weapon to one of the other weapons. Good for crowd control.

Next up, True Patriot. Two pieces of the gear set gives you 10% damage to armor, three adds 10% to Protection from Elites to the mix, and four grants +10% total armor. Five pieces of the set unlocks Red, White and Blue. Whenever you shoot an enemy, you apply the Red, White, or Blue debuff to them. The debuffs cycle every four seconds. Red decreases damage from enemies, White restores armor to friends that shoot the enemy under the White debuff, and Blue boosts skill cooldown reduction to allies that shoot that enemy. Lastly, we have Full Flag for the full set. Shooting an enemy that has all three debuffs deals 25% damage to nearby enemies that have at least one debuff. So, this would be your debuffer / DPS.

Lastly, Hard Wired. Collect two pieces of this set to ear 20% Skill Health, three grants you 20% increased Shock duration, and the bonus for four is +20% Skill Power. Five set pieces get you Tamper Proof: electrifies your deployed skills and shocks any enemy that comes too close. You can use this every ten seconds. The full set unlocks Feedback Loop, Killing with a skill resets the cooldown of your other skill. Plus, repairing a friendly agent’s armor from zero resets the cooldown of your skills. You can do this every fifteen seconds. Oh, and you gain bonus damage and repair to all skills for 15 seconds whenever a skill cooldown ends. This is basically a healer.
