Doom Eternal Ancient Gods Part 1 DLC Teaser Trailer Revealed

Bethesda have released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Doom Eternal single player expansion. The name of the DLC is Ancient Gods, and it will send you on a journey through brand new levels and enemies to fight. Plus, there’s a whole new chapter of story to not care about while you’re mowing through hundreds of demons. This is, of course, just a teaser; the full reveal is coming out later in the month.

Doom Eternal Ancient Gods Part 1 DLC Teaser Trailer Revealed

The Ancient Gods Part 1 teaser trailer really doesn’t give you much to sink your teeth into. As far as I can tell, the demon-slaying horseplay you indulged in to bring humanity back from the edge of extinction has caused some manner of power imbalance or vacuum. Listen, I don’t pay attention to the story in Doom, I’m sorry. So, it once again falls to the Doom Guy to shoot some sense into everyone.

The video’s description pretty much confirms my assumptions: “Your victory over Hell’s armies pulled humanity back from the edge of extinction, but it came at a cost. An imbalance of power in the heavens requires the true ruler of this universe to rise and set things right. Wage war across never-before-seen realms of the DOOM Universe and fight against new demons in your never-ending battle against the forces of evil.”

So, there you have it. For the full reveal, we’re gonna have to be patient for a while longer. Specifically, it’s coming on August 27th at 2PM ET, via Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. I don’t expect we’ll find out too much more when it comes to the story, but I do hope for some gameplay footage. Well, the release date too, of course. While we wait, you can check out the Doom Eternal Ancient Gods Part 1 teaser below.
