After you have completed the game’s prologue, open up the game menu and go into the Online Menu. Here, you will see your Friends. To be able to play with them, you first need to send them an invite and they need to accept this. After that, they will be available to play co-op with. Next, go to the Online Options here. To play with your friends, you need to set the Game Type option to “Friends Only”. Once all that’s done, your friends can join you and you can play DL2 together.

How Does Story Save Progression Work in Coop

Only the host’s story progression is saved. Once the other player leaves the host’s game, they will be right back where they started. The good thing is that they will be able to keep the items they picked up while they were in the host’s game.

    To be honest, they should’ve really made coop progression for both characters so there would be no need to go play it again and capture/explore the map again, would make the game more enjoyable for dying light 2
