The people behind Elder Scrolls Online have announced the Heroes Reforged mini-event. This is to celebrate the launch of Update 29, and also to prepare players for what’s coming. During the two weeks of Heroes Reforged, you’ll have the chance to respec your character as many times as you want, completely free. To top it off, they’re gifting you an Ambersheen Vale Fawn as a pet via the Crown Store.
The Champion System overhaul coming with Update 29 is definitely going to cause some players to rethink their builds. The developers are fully aware of this, hence the ESO Heroes Reforged event. While it lasts, the Rededication Shrine will give you free, infinite respecs. This includes Attributes (Health/Stamina/Magicka), Skills (and Morphs), and Champion Points (from the Champion Point system menu). Mix and match to your heart’s content.
One thing that we do have to mention is that Heroes Reforged is not a full in-game event. In other words, there’s no Event Tickets or unique rewards or anything like that. Free respecs is all that it is. And, I mean, what more do you want?
As for the free pet you can get in the ESO Heroes Reforged event, it seems to be a kind of apology for you having to respec your character. At least, that’s how they worded it in the official announcement. Update 29 does require a mandatory skill respec, which is quite annoying. So, to soften the blow a bit, you’ll be able to pick up the Ambersheen Vale Fawn pet from the in-game Crown Store, under the Pets category. The offer will end when the Heroes Reforged event wraps up.
Speaking of, the Heroes Reforged event starts on March 8 at 10AM EST on PC and Mac, and will end on March 22 at 10AM EDT. As for Xbox and PlayStation, Heroes Reforged will being on March 16 at 10AM and wrap up on March 30 at 10AM EDT. So, make sure to grab you a free pet and play around with infinite free respecs while you can.
