FFXV Medjay & Master Assasin's Robes Crossover Items Announced

Assassin’s Creed and Final Fantasy are going to cross streams, according to an announcement from Gamescom. The two franchises are planning some crossovers, the first of which will happen in Final Fantasy XV, starting August 30th. It’s going to be in the form of a special event called Assassin’s Festival, during which players will be able to obtain a couple of outfits – the FFXV Medjay & Master assassin’s robes.

On August 30th, FFXV players will be able to trade the Dream Egg for the Master Assassin’s Robes, a unique attire for Noctis. The Egg can be obtained at the Moogle Chocobo carnival, so make sure you explore it if you haven’t already.

The other outfit is called Medjay Assassin’s Robes, and it will be available to everyone as part of the Assassin’s Festival free DLC. Luckily, this attire can be worn by all four characters. If you’ve visited the last festival, you know how it goes – Lestallum will be redecorated to fit the theme, with appropriate signs and banners, and there will be some new activities to enjoy. Expect new items, as well as features that could allow Noctis to parkour across town.

Here’s what Ashraf Ismail, game director at Ubisoft Montreal, had to say about the collaboration:

This collaboration is the result of being huge fans. There’s a lot of respect between the two teams and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the opportunity to pay homage to each other’s work.

You can prepare for the upcoming festival by getting the Dream Egg item from the current event. There was no mention how FFXV is going to invade the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins, but it’ll probably be announced at some point after release. AC Origins is supposed to launch on October 27th, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
