So, what’s gonna be new in Season 9 of Fortnite? Well, first off all, you’re going to get to explore new locations; Neo Tilted and Mega Mall, for example. Then, there are the Slipstreams, which seem to be wind tunnels of some fashion, which will provide a new mode of transportation to you. They will basically allow you to fly from one to the other, and they honestly seem like a lot of fun, potentially. There will also be air vents, which will launch you into the air and provide fall damage immunity.

Then, we have the new collectibles, aka the Fortbytes. They are little microchips strewn all across the island, and you’ll have to perform different tasks in order to obtain them. It might be as simple as going to a certain location, or going to a set place and performing an emote, and down to performing different feats in the game, such as getting into the top 10 a certain amount of times and the like. There will be a hundred to collect total, and that’ll grant you further rewards, so that’s going to keep you pretty busy. Eighteen will be available on Day 1, and at least one new Fortbyte will come out each day.

Of course, there are other bits and bobs in the patch, such as a new weapon, tweaks to existing stuff, bug fixes, etc. For the full patch notes, head over to the Fortnite website. And, if you want help finding those FortBytes, we’ve started our Fortnite BR Fortbyte Locations & How to Get
