Fortnite Solid Gold Limited Time Mode Live, Jetpack Item Teased

Fornite Battle Royale has got a new limited time mode, called Solid Gold. The way it works is that basically everyone gets a golden, legendary weapon pretty fast. This will include sniper rifles, rocket launchers, miniguns, and so on. Also, the developers will be adding jetpacks to the game at some point in the near future, adding a vertical element to the gameplay.

If you think that Fortnite Battle Royale just doesn’t have enough bedlam and mayhem, you’re in luck. Epic Games and People Can Fly have announced a new limited time mode for the game, called Solid Gold, on the Fortnite Battle Royale Twitter account. As the name implies, every single weapon you find while playing will be gold. In other words, legendary weapons. This should make matches even more interesting, and, possibly, considerably shorter. Definitely even more chaotic, what with every player having a beast of a weapon in a matter of minutes.

The list of legendary weapons you’ll be able to pick up hasn’t been announced, but the safe bet is, well, anything. The image accompanying the announcement features a sniper, silenced pistol, rocket launcher, minigun, etc. So, yeah, if you choose to play this mode, forget about the slow progression. Instead, get ready for everyone to start rampaging right from the get-go. It’s guaranteed to be absolute pandemonium, and, I have to say, it sounds like a ton of fun.

In other Fortnite Battle Royale news, in another tweet and the new update post, the developers have teased a jetpack. How exactly this will work in the game remains to be seen. We can assume, though, that adding a vertical dimension to the combat will be pretty cool. I mean, can you imagine playing Fortnite with people zipping around in the air?
