Fortnite BR Weekly Challenges Not Working Due to v4.2 Delay

The weekly challenges of Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4 Week 3 aren’t working properly for many players. People are wondering what the problem is, since they’re trying to complete their quests as soon as possible. The ones that seem to be affected include Search Rubber Duckies and Watch a Match Replay. Epic Games has answered the question on their Twitter a few hours ago: there’s been an issue with the latest build, causing it to be delayed.

Why are Fortnite Weekly Challenges not Working?

Put quite simply, it’s because Epic Games has come across an issue with the latest build, version 4.2. As a result, they had to delay the launch of the new build until they solve the problem, according to the Fortnite Twitter account. So, as a result, “some quests may not function until the build releases.” So, there you have it. If some Fortnite weekly challenges / quests aren’t working properly for you, that’s why. Epic Games has promised to update players once they have “a more accurate time frame.” As of writing this article, Epic hasn’t come out with any further updates.

Needless to say, fans of Fortnite aren’t too happy about the current development of events, but what can you do. For example, the Rubber Duckies challenge seems to be having trouble with counting the duckies that players have found towards completing the challenge. Same goes for watching a match replay. Fortunately, you’ll have more than enough time to complete the quests before they expire. You do have a whole week, after all.

With all of that said, we can now only hope that Epic will solve these problems quickly. In the meantime, feel free to check out our guides for this week’s challenges: Search Chests in Lonely Lodge, Search Rubber Duckies, and Follow Salty Springs Treasure Map. That way, you’ll be well and prepared once the Fortnite challenges start working as they’re supposed to.
