The release date and time of Genshin Impact update 1.5, called Beneath the Light of Jadeite, is Wednesday, April 28th, at 06:00 (UTC+8). Well, that’s when the update maintenance is going to start. According to the announcement, the developers estimate that the process is going to take about five hours. That’s a huge wait, I know, but there’s a lot of new content coming, so this is to be expected. Besides, you’ll get 60 Primogems for every hour the servers are down.
If you don’t know how to update the game, lemme get you up to speed. On PC, close the game, open the launcher, and click Update. On iOS, open the app store and tap Update. As for Android, you can either open the game’s page on Google Play and tap Update or open the game and follow the on-screen instructions. Lastly, PS4 players need to highlight the game on their Home Screen, press the Options button, then Check for Update. Things are pretty simple from there.
By the way, starting on April 26th at 11:00 (UTC+8), people playing on PC or mobile will have the option to use the pre-installation function. That way, you’ll get faster access to the new content once it drops, according to the developers. On mobile, you simply need to go into the Paimon menu, tap Settings, then Other, then Pre-Install Resource Package. On PC, update your launcher after the feature drops. After that, you should see the Game Pre-Installation button to the left of the Launch button.
