Diona Kätzlein is one of the playable characters in Genshin Impact. She is a four-star Cryo user and Bow wielder and a bartender at the Cat’s Tail tavern in Modstadt. One of the most interesting – and fun – things about the playable characters in Genshin is that they all have birthdays which you can celebrate with them. Diona’s birthday is January 18th, and, just like with the other characters, she will send you a special message in which she invites you to commemorate this event. The letter itself can be a bit misleading for players new to the game, as it appears that Diona is inviting you to a specific location. To read her letter, go into your Mailbox section. In here, you will find a new letter titled “This is for you!” Of course, this letter was sent by Diona. It reads:
“Hey, hey! I caught a lot of sparkling fireflies in the past few days, there are so many that I can’t even fit them all into my bag! At the beginning, I just wanted to add one or two to the shaker to make the most disgusting cocktail to scare those alcoholics. But the process of catching fireflies was so much fun that I couldn’t stop… It’s not my fault! Even my tail thinks so, it keeps swinging around without my control… Ahem! *cough* Do you like shiny things? Um… Anyway, it’s all for you! If you want to thank me, just come and celebrate my birthday with me. I will decorate the room in advance with the remaining Small Lamp Grass, Butterfly Wings, and Starconches… You have to come!”
As you can see, the “You have to come!” part can make it somewhat unclear as to what you need to do here. Luckily, the answer is – you don’t really have to do anything. All of these birthday messages are just some fun lore and character building, along with some minor rewards. Simply press the “Claim” button at the end of the message after reading it, and you will receive x10 Luminescent Spine, and x1 Diona’s signature, the “Definitely Not Bar Food!”.
