A new update for Genshin Impact is around the corner, according to rumors. The supposedly leaked information claims that update 1.4 will be discussed at length during a livestream scheduled for tomorrow. Hot on the tails of the Lunar festival, this new update could sate the ever growing hunger Mihoyo has instilled with their regular additions to the game. Read on for more details.
The basis of the rumors is the picture you can see above, shared on Twitter and allegedly coming from the developers themselves. It stats that there will be a livestream concerning update 1.4 tomorrow, on March 6th, at 20:00. That is 8PM, presumably CST, since the text in the image is in Chinese. This translates into 1PM CEST or 4AM PST.
It’s terrible timing if you’re from the US and you wanted to watch the thing live, but at least you’ll have a complete breakdown of the most important info as soon as you get out of bed. Silver lining and all.
Since the image (which might as well be doctored) is the only source of information here, lots of people are speculating that Jean and Venti will be making a comeback – you can see them in the lower right corner, or at least their disturbingly chibi versions.
Venti is a top tier character, and lots of folks have been down because they didn’t manage to win one while his banner was active, so it might just be wishful thinking. Then again, if wishful thinking was the guiding principle, one would think Diluc would be the first character on the list.
Either way, we’ll know whether it’s God’s honest truth or just another hoax soon enough. The supposed livestream will be over with in less than 24 hours, so at least the wait won’t be long.
