What Time Does God of War Release on PC?

God of War has a global release time for Steam and Epic. January 14th is when the game will finally be available on PC. You just need to be there at 8 am PST time, 11 am EST time, and 4 pm GMT to download it.

Pre downloading is available on Steam before then if you can’t wait to get your hands on it. Unfortunately, preload is not available on the Epic Games store. Before you purchase, make sure to check the system requirements. You need a whopping 70GB of space to download it.

The first game in the series was released in 2005 on the PS2.  Its 7th incarnation came to PS4 in 2018 to critical acclaim. It was also included as one of the 20 PS Plus Collection games for those who purchased a Playstation 5.

In the game, you take control of Kratos, God of War. However, this time the character has much more depth than in other outings. This is in part down to the inclusion of his son Atreus, who gives a coming-of-age aspect to the storytelling. Unlike previous titles which were set in ancient Greece, this one is set in the frozen north, borrowing from Viking mythology. If the awesome visuals and gameplay don’t entice you, then the narrative should.
