Watching the replays of our gameplay is, for many players, one of the most fun things that you can do in video games. This allows us to once again experience a particularly well-played match, or to see if we can improve in some areas and be even better next time. Unfortunately, Clash of Clans players often experience a problem with the replay option. Namely, with the older replays not being available anymore. But why is this happening and is there anything that you can do to prevent this from occurring? We’re going to answer all of these questions and more in our in-depth Clash of Clans Replay Not Available Explained guide.
Replays Not Available in Clash of Clans
So what is the cause of this problem? Well, this usually happens after the game has been updated. Specifically, after the maintenance and Clash of Clans is back up. Players then find out that they are unable to access the replays that have been made before the update. Now, not every update is guaranteed to do this, but if it is a substantial update that changes many things about the game, odds are high that the older replays are going to disappear after it. This has been an ongoing problem for many years, and it doesn’t seem like it is something that developers Supercell are likely to fix anytime soon.
But is there anything that you can do to somehow prevent this from happening? Well, sadly, no. The best that you can do is to employ alternative methods to make sure that your replays are not lost. Since both iOS and Android devices have screen capture capabilities, turning this on to record your matches and then safely store these videos somewhere else (for example, on YouTube), is the best way to make sure that you won’t lose your precious Clash of Clans replays.
