Pokemon GO Tynamo Spotlight Hour 2023

The Tynamo 2023 Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO is almost here, and I’m sure many of you want to know if you can use the opportunity to get a shiny version of it. We’ll get to that in the next section. For now, let’s cover the details of the event itself. It will take place on Tuesday, January 24th 2023, from 6 PM to 7 PM local server time. As is always the case, the mini-event will feature a special little bonus. In this case, you can look forward to double Catch Candy. Meaning, you’ll get twice the Candy for every Pokemon you catch, not only Tynamo. As far as these bonuses go, this is one of the better ones.

Can Tynamo be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

No, Tynamo cannot be shiny in Pokemon GO. At least, that’s the case at time of writing. I guess it’s possible that Niantic might pull some huge surprise and introduce a special version of the tiny fish for the upcoming mini-event. However, it’s definitely not probable. I can’t personally remember a single time that this has happened. At least this simplifies things somewhat; all you need to do is keep catching Tynamo just for the sake of the double Catch Candy and possibly evolving Eelektrik and Eelektross. You don’t have to stress over whether you’re missing out on the perfect chance to nab a shiny Pokemon. Or you can simply skip this event entirely if you don’t want to bother.
