The COD Vanguard open beta date & time have been a matter of discussion as soon as the game was announced. As is the case every year with these games, people want to dive in as soon as they possibly can. Well, Activision has made things a bit complicated. The dates are drastically different depending on which platform you’re on and whether you’ve pre-ordered the game or not. We’ll try to make sense of this mess and show you when is the COD Vanguard open beta in this guide.
When is COD Vanguard Open Beta
The COD Vanguard betas, including the open beta, are going to take place in mid and late September, according to the official Call of Duty Twitter account. However, there are several caveats here. For one, those that pre-order the game are going to get early access to the beta on their respective platforms. To make matters even more complicated, PlayStation players are going to get even earlier access than everyone else. So, to parse out this mess, here’s a list of when the Call of Duty Vanguard open beta will begin on which platform.
We begin with the first open beta weekend, which will be exclusive to PlayStation players that have pre-ordered the game. This one will take place from September 10th to September 13th. After that comes the PlayStation open beta, available for all, which you’ll be able to play from September 16th to September 20th.
Then we come to Xbox and PC. The COD Vanguard open beta dates on those to platforms are September 18th-20th. Before that, though, is the early access period from September 16 to September 17th. That’s only for those of you that pre-order the game, of course.
So, yeah, it’s a bit of a mess, and PC and Xbox gamers are definitely getting the raw end of the deal. You guys have to pre-order the game to get half the beta as PlayStation owners. I guess Activision has to squeeze the cash out of you fast to pay for all of those lawsuits, eh? Anyways, the beta start times have not been announced yet, but we’ll be sure to give you that info as soon as it’s out.
