How to Get Cat Mount in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

To get the cat mount in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, you have to complete a specific reputation quest. The mission in question is called “Unexpected Company” and you get it from Great Uncle Autumn. This quest unlocks around the point when you complete the first area in Evermore. Basically, check your Reputation Quest menu every now and again until you see “Unexpected Company.” Accept the quest, then mosey on over to Great Uncle Autumn and have a chat with him. From there, the process is pretty simple. The first step is to go to the marker and meet Platypaws, who will lead you further into the Tainted Autumn Forest. When you get to the next marker, you’ll see the poor, giant cat surrounded by monsters.

So, to get the Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds cat mount, aka the adorably-named Catarumpus, you have to beat up the Skeleplasms that are terrorizing it. Depending on your level, that shouldn’t be that big of a problem; it’s like the game really wants you to get this mount. Now, all that’s left to do is let your new Catarumpus follow you back to Great Uncle Autumn and hand the quest back in. He will tell you that the kitty just wants to help you on your future quests. You’ll also get a brief tutorial, so you’ll be covered on all sides, so to speak. From then on, you can summon the Catarumpus pretty much whenever you want, except when you’re in combat.
