Convoys first appeared in Forza 3. They are a way to have online, play with friends. They allow you to travel and work as a team. You can take part in free roam races and doing certain tasks in convoy may also get you specific rewards.

Unfortunately, you cannot go straight into co op mode in Forza Horizon 5. Instead, you must complete a series of missions to unlock the privilege. You can start this by opening up online mode in the pause or main menu. You will have to complete the set series of races. The online option will then unlock allowing you to connect with others.

The online menu has several sub-sections. Start with a visit to your friend’s list and see who is online. You will also see the option to form a convoy.

One person needs to be a dedicated leader. This can be either you or a friend. Invite the person and they should accept. You are now in a group, but not yet in each other’s world.

To get into each other’s Forza Horizon 5 world, then you will have to start a race together. Keep in mind that only the leader has permission to start events. Some people have noted problems with online co op, but if you go to events and start one this should iron out most problems.
