Update 1.8 Release Time & Date in PUBG Mobile

The release time and date of Update 1.8 in PUBG Mobile is 11:00 (UTC +0) on Wednesday, January 12th. That’s according to the official announcement. The post also says that the servers will not go down in order for the update to be implemented. Rather, you’ll have to update the game yourself. Just make sure that you have enough room on your phone and that you’re on WiFi rather than on mobile data. I know that doesn’t seem like necessary advice, but some of us have learned to double-check the hard way.

Now, first and foremost, you should download the update between January 12th and January 18th. Why? Because you’ll get 3000 BP, 100 AG, and an Aureate Assassin Helmet (3d). As for what you can expect to see in the new update, well, one of the main draws is the new Classic Mode map called AfterMath. To access it, when the PUBG Mobile Update 1.8 release time and date arrives, simply go to Unranked, then Classic Mode, and access the map from there. It’s basically an apocalyptic map, described like this: “Bombs and volcanic eruptions have transformed the terrain of the small island of Livik. Many years later, the survivors intensify their training in order to face new threats in the future.”

All the weapons on AfterMath have an AC Core Module installed, meaning that they are much easier to aim. Plus, you all get Tactical Glasses by default, among other things. That’s just the beginning, too. There’s, of course, a ton of other stuff in the new update, including improvements to various parts of the game.
