Hogwarts Legacy Gear Slots Full Bug, Legendary Chest Not Dropping Loot Issue

The bug where the legendary chest is not dropping loot in Hogwarts Legacy happens only when all of your gear slots and inventory slots are full. It can also happen with regular chests, as we’ve found out the hard way. So, what you need to do is make sure your inventory has at least one empty slot before opening any chest. If you don’t, whatever reward you find in there will be gone, even if you close the chest and come back after making room. The only thing you can do is go back to an earlier save. Even then, due to the random nature of the loot, the reward will not be the same. Just make room before opening anything.

That is the only way to fix the “Legendary Chest Not Dropping Loot” bug in Hogwarts Legacy – make sure your slots are not completely full. It’s an interesting issue, because some people report it happening to legendary chests only, but as I’ve said, we lost loot from a regular chest this way. Also, it doesn’t seem to happen on PS5 or at least not as often. The only real fix for this can come from the developers, who will hopefully address it in a future patch. Until then, you’ll have to fight your hoarding tendencies and sell stuff to unload your inventory on the regular. Heaven knows the room you have is really limited already.
