As we’re drawing closer to the release of Injustice 2, we’re finding out more and more about the game. On top of the constant stream of gameplay and story trailers, it seems that we’ll be getting info about the Injustice 2 DLC. Ed Boon, creative director and studio leader of NetherRealm Studios, announced on Twitter that the details about the downloadable content will be coming soon. He seems pretty confident about it, saying: “We suspect you will like what you hear!”

Boon also made a Twitter poll, asking fans which characters they’d want in Injustice 2. More specifically, he asked if they should include characters missing from the first Injustice. The two answers are “Yes!” and “No! All new fighters”. The poll is still open as of writing this article, if you want to participate. Just don’t expect that your vote will actually change anything in the Injustice 2 DLC.

Additionally, Boon denied that he will be a playable character in Injustice 2. However, when Maximilian Dood tweeted: “I’d say a SPecial pAWN style character would be best” (clearly hinting at Todd McFarlane’s Spawn), Boon answered with: Well done, Max!” This could well mean that the brooding, angsty hellspawn-turned-superhero will be one of the playable characters in Injustice 2.

Meanwhile, more and more characters are being introduced into the game. The latest addition was The Joker, who got his gameplay trailer.

The release of Injustice 2 is slated for May 16th, and it will come out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as Android and iOS.
