How to Kill Polterkitty Cat Ghost in Luigi’s Mansion 3?
To kill Polterkitty in Luigi’s Mansion 3, aka the cat ghost, you’ll first have to make it angry. Initially, it’s a timid little kitty splashing around in the tub. You’ll have to wait until it jumps into the air. When it does, shine your flashlight at it and use the burst of light to tick it off. Polterkitty will then show its true colors; it’s actually a huge, feral, bloodthirsty monster. So, how does one defeat this feral, phantasmal feline?
Well, the method is actually kinda counter-intuitive. What you have to do is turn your back to the Polterkitty. Wait for it to jump down and sneak up behind you. Keep waiting until pussycat raises its paws to strike you, as pictured below. When it does, immediately turn around and stun it with the flashlight. Mind you, you’ll have to act very quickly. Once you have Polterkitty stunned, simply follow the usual method of disposing of ghosts. Use the Poltergust to trap the cat ghost, then press A when the prompt comes up to smash it into the ground.
You’ll suck up Polterkitty’s tail, and it’ll cough up ninth floor elevator button like a big ole fur ball. Then, it will escape. Will this be the last time you meet it? Well, I’m not gonna tell. Just know that, if you do end up face to face with Polterkitty, you can always defeat it in the same way. Turn your back, and wait for the ghost to come to you.
